Computer buying project

In the computer buying project I found that buying every part individually can become expensive. I think that the only reason we would need to look at the individual pieces like this is to build a custom computer. Most computers have optical disk drive and the hard drive and RAM is in the computer when you buy it. When I bought my computer it was $500 and I didn’t have to buy a sound card, video card, or optical disk drive. The only other reason that you would care about all of these different parts is if you were going to customize your computer to do a certain job. If you are just buying a computer that you want to take to college to write papers then just buy a standard laptop or desktop and that should be about it… I chose to go with PC because I have been using PC all my life and Mac is harder to understand and I have used it before and I just don’t like the whole setup and feel of it.

Power Searchig is Actually Useful

I found that after the power searching unit there was a lot of techniques that are very useful. I have a power point to finish up in my B block class and I am ahead of most kids due to the fact that I have been using power searching. I have used the Site: option along with Filetype: and the minus(-) to improve and narrow my searches down to information I could use. I have actually used the intext: option a few times and got results for my slides that I am making. My favorite and what I think to be the most useful of all is the Ctrl F function that lets you search a document, book, or website for a specific word. That has cut the time of searching in half easily since I am a slow reader.

Why does it have to snow?

Why are we getting snow tomorrow? I want it to rain so that all the snow and salt is off the road. It makes it easier to drive and I can start riding my longboard again. I started longboarding about three years ago and I have been addicted to it ever since. I went out for my fifteenth birthday and bought a land yachts time machine. It came with bone reds bearing, Paris trucks and Orangatang wheels. I have not been riding since the leaves have started to fall and I need the snow to stop, and rain to fall. The salt ruins the wheel bearings and rusts the trucks; I need the rain to wash the salt away. I wish I could get snow tires for my longboard but I don’t think those exist. I have learned a lot for the classes on Google power searching. From class 1, 2, and 3 we have been taught a lot about how to narrow a search down to what you are really looking for. From class 1 a couple skills stood out that I could see myself using. First is the symbols you can add to your query (c++, #, $, @, %, Google+) I could see myself using the ($) symbol to look for items online I am interested in buying. When I’m online and I want to look up a certain person, I can use the (@) symbol. Also from class 1 section six thee use of Ctrl F is huge I will use that for the rest of my life. I will be able to find word that will help me on research projects and speed up the process of finding information on Google. For class two I could see myself using the suggested searches on the side panel. I have used it before but, I never really understood what its purpose was. Along with this skill I will be trying to use more Medias. I never tried news for research, same with Google scholar I have never thought of them as good sources. I would definitely try them when I am given another research project. The define tool is useful and is way faster than going to dictionary.com to look up a word, I can just type it into the bar In class three we learned about operators and how they affect the results of your query. We learned (site:, filetype:, intext:, OR, “quote”, minus(-)) we learned how to combine these operators to narrow down our searches. We can use the minus (-) to remove a term from our searches. We can search for two terms simultaneously by putting them in quotes and placing OR between them.
